Houston Pets Alive!

About

Description
Our Mission
  • To promote and provide the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.
Where is the Need?
  • There are 1.2 million stray animals and two open-intake shelters in Houston. Our goal is to create a partnership with the city and county shelter with a focus to increase live outcome through robust adoption programs, high-volume spay and neuter partnerships, political advocacy and community education. How We Operate: Everyday we receive a list of animals who are at risk of being put to sleep in less than 24 hours. We save as many animals as we have foster homes and shelter space available. All animals are spayed and neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. In addition to rescue, we believe in high volume spay and neuter programs, education and political advocacy.

I would love to help dogs feel the love that my wonderful pitbull (RuRoo Peru) has brought into my life. Once my baby gets neutered, I would love to provide a foster home to those pets that are in need. Thank you.
Good job Deirdre and Pearl.
It's about time I'm registered and log some hours.
Thank you Sherry! We are in the process of making sure you can log all those hours! — Deirdre Buchta Deirdre Buchta on March 19, 2018
